I put minimal effort into optimizing it and used many more saves than I normally would some that were very out of the way.

I didn't do this out of laziness. There's another string referencing an Extras menu. Evidently it did at one point, until whatever was behind it was cut. Lightbringers are an 'enemy' which act as mobile Light Crystals. Quite useful. However, the only ones in the game disappear after getting the Space Jump, before getting any of the alternate Beam weapons.

Despite this, using glitches to skip the Space Jump reveals that Lightbringers have unique reactions to all three Beam weapons! However, the Annihilator Beam destroys them, a behavior unlike the standard crystals, but which is actually mentioned in the Lightbringer's scan data!

They drop an Ultra Energy when destroyed; you can also use a charged Dark Beam shot to freeze one and fire a missile at it. This behavior would suggest that the Lightbringers were intended to see greater use than they wound up getting. It's attached to Defiled Shrine, but since it seems to be attached using a virtual dock, there doesn't seem to be a way to actually enter it ingame.

The room geometry is just a box with a flat metallic material on it; there's no lighting or lightmap on the material so it appears pitch-black. Aside from the dock attaching it to Defiled Shrine, the room contains PointOfInterest objects for every inventory scan file in the game, including a few for unused items.

An early listing of the game's streams present on the disc references eight tracks which are not present in the final game. Additionally, some strings in FrontEnd. The penultimate boss of the game, the Emperor Ing, has a few discrepancies in its final phase which suggest the fight was to be a much more complex, strategic affair than it wound up as. Offering a similar gameplay with fresh new elements and gameplay, this is yet another fantastic game that absolutely must be played. After Samus Aran receives a distress call from a downed Galactic Federation ship, she travels to the planet Aether to rescue the Marines trapped there but soon discovers the crew was killed by a race known as the Ing, beings of darkness from an alternate, dark dimension who are at war with the inhabitants of Aether, the Luminoth.

With a new mission in hand, Samus must traverse into Dark Aether and recover the stolen energy from the Dark Temples and destroy Dark Aether and the Ing before they consume all.

Great game. This is based on comments from Game Informer's west coast senior editor, Imran Khan, who explained that Metroid Prime Trilogy - a collection consisting of Metroid Prime , Metroid Prime 2: Echoes and Metroid Prime 3: Corruption - was actually expected to be unveiled last month. In a tweet, Khan says that Trilogy 's development is 'long done'.

So you can only wonder whether Nintendo delayed its reveal because of the recent Prime 4 announcement. Bosses must have known about that game's dramatic change of plans for a while, and a Trilogy release would certainly help soften the blow for fans.

While it's not clear when and where Trilogy was supposed to be announced, Khan doubts that it would've been at The Game Awards , like many speculated back when the Switch title was heavily rumoured.

Of course, the Japanese developer didn't mention Metroid at all; instead choosing to tease the addition of Persona 5 's Joker into Super Smash Bros.
